Best Hungarian Name Day. EVER!

That's a slight exaggeration since my own husband didn't even celebrate the day, but since I only heard about it a week ago, there's nothing to compare it to. Luckily for me -- Karen and Kathleen remembered.

See my AWESOME collage that my sister made for me? See even loved me enough to do a semi-ode. Kathleen *is* truly awesome. Not just because she wrote that about herself when she updated my blog list for me -- so yeah, you can blame her if you don't like being a "ward wacko" or a "nerdy neighbor."

Then to top the day off, I got to see Mamma Mia! AHHHHHH! That is me shrieking because I loved it so much. Also, I wish it was me jumping on the bed. I want to be in that movie!

My mom is a HUGE ABBA fan, so I know all the songs. In fact, I even left an ABBA quote to my sister in her Senior Year Book. Yeah, my family is *that* cool. See how Mamma Mia made my collage even before I had seen it?

Anyway, I laughed, I cried, I thought "GEEZ this is CHEESEY." But then, I love a good cheese fest. At one point both Karen and I turned to each other and decided that we needed a "reuniting cheer." Anyone else love the movie? I guess the better question would be, who hated this movie and would they dare admit it? Everyone I know has loved it.

I LOVED IT!!! It was completely cheesey...just the way it should have been. I was sitting next to Cecily and we both said to each other that we wanted to be there...in the movie...jumping on the bed...partying, singing and dancing with all the crazy Greeks. There was an old lady sitting in front of Ann (a few seats down from me) who kept turning around and glaring at me. I guess she didn't appreciate how much I was enjoying the movie. RUDE! Then again at the end of the movie, you know during the "encore", she was plugging her ears. What a weirdo! Anywho, I'm so glad you liked the movie and should you ever decide to see it again I would be more than happy to go watch it with you! Again and again and again.

I Loved it too!!! May be I didn't show it as much as my wacky friends Cecily and Sarah, at least no one was glaring at me :) It was fabulous! I knew nothing about it going into it except that Meryl and Pierce were going to sing! It was just the right amount of cheesy...and Jazz still wants to see it, so if you're game, let me know!

PS. what is best hungarian name day ever? Is that an excuse to get out of the house? Do they make a hallmark card for that? Has Hallmark even heard of it, because you know if they had they would have a card for it!

I LOVED Mamma Mia! It is just so refreshing and fun and a leave your cares at the door and come in and join our world type movie. I've seen it on stage a few times and I think that I like that better but the movie was still so great!

When I saw the trailer for it for the first time I thought: NOOOO! I can't believe I can't go see that with Maddy!!! That truly would have made the experience 1000 times more fun!!!

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm glad you did. I can totally picture you sitting in that theater!

Hopefully the power didn't go out! Haha!

I can't way to see the movie. It's going to have to be a girls night though because John is not thrilled to see it and you can't have Mr. Grumpy sitting next to you when you go to the movies!!

Went and saw it last night! LOVED IT!! Excpet there were no singers or dancers in our audience. Just 3 teenage boys who were drug there by their parents and all gasped and about died when they realized they were watching a musical. Did they think they were seeing batman? It was pretty funny to watch them throughout the movie.

I have only heard great things about Mamma Mia. I really want to go see it. Although I do have this one friend who LOVES Abba, but said she does not like Mamma Mia. I was like WHAT?! The show is like a tribute to Abba--how could you not like it?? Oh, well. I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

ps--what's this I hear about a beach house for a union square reunion next year? Sounds like fun to me!! It was fun that you guys called. We miss you tons. After talking to you on the phone, Brett said he missed you guys a lot too. Hope all is well :D
