OK, so tonight we had a big vote (not that I think a 2 year old and a 4 year old should have the same say in naming the baby as say. . . ME) and we narrowed the named down to two finalists. So let me know what you think:
Amelia Elizabeth
or
Sadie Elizabeth
or
eta Sophie/Sophia Michelle for my mom (because you know, she did give birth to me, so I at least owe it to her to consider her name)

let me just tell you how much i lerve the name sadie!!!! i tried so hard to name one of my girls that but dave would never budge. oh yeah--my vote is for sadie! ;)

Kathleen -- I believe Sadie was MY name until I traded it to you for Amelia. Of course I didn't realize how fickle my husband was at the time.
And hmmmm, I wonder who suggested Sophie MICHELLE? Who oh who could it be? I'll throw it in the ring, mom.

If it does help though, Sadie was the name of a girl in a U2 song! When Mike and I were dating I said if I had a girl I would name her Sadie. I guess I forgot when I named Megan, Megan. ;)
You also didn't make it easy because both a's and s's look good on scrapbook pages. You DO get more a's in a package of letters though. How about something with Q? There are always a lot of Q's on the clearance tables. Something to think about. ;)
OK, now I'm rambling.....

I'll be completely honest, Sadie sounds like a dog's name to me. :o

Maddy, I must take full credit for the new name suggestion. I think it would be great to honor your MOM with a namesake, and my grandmother McEwen's middle name was Sophia. The two just seem to go together. Luv, Cheryl

Maddy - I looooove the name Sadie. LOVE it! They are all beautiful (Sophia was actually on our list last time) but I really love Sadie.
OK- I wasn't going to agree with an anonymous poster who added a totally different name to the hat, but since it's your mom, I can say I REALLY like Sophie Elizabeth the best. ;)
