The results are in. . .

And I got the word that I am officially excused from Jury Duty. Hooray! I was not looking forward to driving into Phoenix tomorrow morning and spending the day in a court room.

Oh wait, you probably don't care. You're here for the ultrasound results.

This morning I woke up and came out to the kitchen to find Nate eating a bowl of cereal. "Mom! Are you having a boy or a girl?" When I explained that I didn't just wake up knowing and I had to actually go to the Doctor he said, "It just HAS to be a boy." When I asked why he told me, "Because I want it to be." I wasn't nervous about dashing his hopes, though, because I was POSITIVE it was going to a boy.

Wow -- I'm really dragging this out, huh? Let's skip to the end where the tech says, "Oh, of course it's a boy, there's a hand between the legs." This of course made me laugh, which was not good since my bladder was ready to explode. Finally the baby moved so we could get a good view and we learned it's a . . .

BOY! We're so excited. Two girls and two boys. How spoiled am I? Even better -- everything looked great, despite my less than stellar pre-natal vitamin taking track record.

Congrats to Nate (and you, of course, but I know how I felt when I was getting my third brother and not a sister to be had anywhere....)

PS...thanks for notifying me about my weird Alaskan cruise link. I did fix it.

Three Cheers for Nate's baby brother! That boy crib had better something special since it is going into Nate's room. Can hardly wait to see Ellie change that first diaper -- she's already such a good big sister! And I'll bet that Sadie will come up with some really great songs to sing!

Love you all!

Yay, boys are the best! Congrats, Maddy! And you're lucky you got out of jury duty. I tried to get out of it about 2 years ago. I thought surely a nursing mother would be excused? Nope. And then I heard that chances are you won't be picked to be on the jury. -You'll get to go home after about an hour. So did I get to go home? Nope. Out of the like 30 people there, only 4 were chosen for the jury and I was one! Ugh. At least I got an inside look at how our justice system works. :) -Lindsay (Smith)

Hey, if we were to have another girl--then we could be like Lehi and Ishmael. If my family ever had to leave our home and go into the wilderness then we would take your family because then all our kids would have a mate ;D Congrats!!
