Facebook for Kids

I've decided that getting a cast for kids is kind of like joining Facebook for adults. It's like a random collection of people in your life and you've never had so many friend requests in your life. Even people you barely know. Example:

On our way back from Pinetop we stopped at a Wendy's to grab dinner. While we were ordering the girls at the counter were so cute asking Ellie how she broke her arm. . . Finally one of them pipes up, "Can I sign your cast?"

My sister has been dying to see a picture of her cast without the sling, so while we were taking these picture, Ellie noticed the under side of her cast is completely blank. "Look Mom! More room for people to sign."

Phewsh! When I saw the title I thought you were going to tell us about some website that I would have to hide from my kids.

I remember always wanting to sign everyone's casts. Something thrilling about that. :)

That is so funny. You hit it right on though. That was a big disappointment for me when I broke my arm and didn't get a cast. poor me. Lucky Ellie, I bet not just anyone has the Wendy's girls' autograph.

Maybe the guys at Jack in the box will write Jack's.

I'll admit, I am jealous of her broken arm. I always wanted a cast. Are you going to let her keep it???? I bet it will smell so yummy!

Ellie has got to be the cutest sweetest little thing ever. I mean look at the innocent, sweet, perfect little girl smile. Watch out girl she is going to be a knock-out and she won't need a cast for all the attention.(not that she does now, that sounds wrong but you know what I mean) :-)

Ohhh! I can hardly wait to sign the famous cast! Can I sign for Papa too? I love that girl -- she will always be a few weeks old looking up at me with those big brown eyes winning my heart forever!

Oh my gosh, that's funny about the girl from wendy's! I love your comparison to facebook!! When does she get it off? Not that she would want to with all that nice attention! :)

It is totally like a club now. I love that her pink cast has sparkles in it. I was worried your post was going to be something about "what kind of parent would let their child join facebook?" or something like that. ha-ha.
