Oops!

I had every intention of posting last week and then things got busy when Dustin left town and by Thursday I was sick. Really really sick. The kind of sick that only happens every few years. The kind of sick where you contemplate keeping your 5 year old home from Kindergarten so that 1. You won't have to dress her and 2. She can take care of you and the other kids. It was very sad and pathetic and included Nate feeding Sadie cereal for lunch and crackers for dinner.

Nate had full run of the kitchen for 2 days until Dustin got home and he just helped himself to whatever he could find in the pantry. Mainly he ate apples, fruit snacks and chips, but he and Ellie did try to get away with eating a giant lolli pop for dinner. The only good thing about sending Ellie to school was knowing that she was getting some sort of nutrition from school lunch. No such luck for the other two.

But we're all back and healthy here now! I put my HO HO HO sign on my wreath to kick off the BEST WEEK IN THE WORLD! I even stuffed my advent calendar boxes. What are you doing to get ready for the *official* start of the holiday season?

Bummer...didn't know you were sick. You should have had her come home with Lindsay...but who would have fed everyone suckers for dinner?

I agree...Holiday season? Try "clean up from the Tornado that hit my house season"...I think Dorothy's Kansas tornado jumped out of the TV when Lindsay was watching Wizard of Oz!

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry you've been so sick. I wonder if you got what Kerry had? At least it's out of your system for the official launch of your favorite season.
You are a little remiss in stuffing your advent boxes this late in the game. I thought you had that done the day after Halloween.?!?

Glad you are feeling better! Dustin did get to see his brother while he was away ... I saw him for about 10 seconds, I was super sleepy and just taking my cup back to the kitchen.
It's great to hear that Ellie is thinking out of the box for dinner selections! I to would chose a giant lolli pop for dinner! Yeah sugar ;)

I'm sorry. We'll have to stop making out at our get togethers, so we don't share germs anymore. ;)

It's all my fault. :(

I'm glad you are feeling better!!! CUTE picture of Nate with that huge lollipop!!!

I'm glad that you are feeling better! I have to say that I was worried about you, when you only had one post last week! But, I decided NOT to harrass you about it . . . and now I'm glad that I left you alone!
You should tell Ellie that sugar is better for breakfast . . . Ha ha ha

I'm sorry you were so sick. You looked great at church you never would have known you were getting over being SOOOO sick! (I loved your skirt and necklace)
And with the whole holiday thing...... I refuse to do any decorating till at least Monday. I hate how Thanksgiving gets the shaft.
I have done all my christmas shopping but only because I don't really have a husband from the week after thanksgiving till the new year, so it makes it hard to do shopping or any big decisions so I do always do that early. But I put them away and don't even think about wrapping till later.
You amaze me how you find the time to do all your holiday stuff so early. I think you've gotta have more then 24 hrs in your day- whats your secret??

So sorry you were sick! Wish I had known... but I know it's not something you run around telling people, esp when you're not "running" anywhere.
It was fun to see you guys last night and play! Seriously it was nice to get some fresh air and run around!
Have a great Thanksgiving!
