I'm sick :(

Thursday was my first day back to normal life, and as the day wore on I was feeling worse and worse. I figured it was just the pain of being back to the gym and running around all day. By 6 pm all I could do was crawl in bed and pass out.

Friday I felt worse and in talking to friends figured I had the same nasty virus they had all had within the last two weeks. Sore throat, ache-y body, pain in the neck. . .

That is until I looked in my throat Saturday evening and saw giant white spots all over. The bad news: Strep Throat. Boo! I feel so bad for my kids who have had it 3 times EACH this year. It is so miserable. If I'm not freezing cold, I'm sweating. If my body isn't aching, my head and ears are. I haven't slept for more than an hour or two at a time in 3 days. The good news: antibiotics! Yay! So hopefully by late tonight I'll be feeling fine and sleeping well.

Other good news -- my kids have been just so sweet to me. I've gotten little notes like:
We love you Maddy. Made with love by Nate and Ellie. I hop that you fill beter. Love, Ellie and Nate
and
I love you mom in all that you do. You are so kind and prity to. I love you so so so so much. Love, Ellie

On Friday, I made Ellie the mom for the day and she did such a good job feeding the kids and even got herself and Nate dressed. Who cares that it was over a 1oo that day? At one point in time, I asked Ellie to clean up the living room. "But mooooooooom! I'm the mommy today!" I guess that means I don't have to clean ever?

Dustin even made me homemade chicken noodle soup. It was delicious! It pays to be married to such an amazing cook.

Other bad news -- I am so bored! I've been out once in the last 3 days and that was when I forced myself to make it to Ellie's recital. I've missed 2 baby blessings and a dinner with my girlfriends.

Ellie was great at her dance recital. I almost started crying because I was so proud. And thanks to my neighbor Vanessa for putting her hair into sponge curlers while I was passed out. I told Dustin he was going to have to do it and he looked at me like I was crazy. There are only so many talents one man can have, I guess.Ellie and her BFF Lindsay.

When I went to pick Ellie up fro, the dancers room, lots of moms were giving their little girls flowers. Then as we were walking to find Dustin, Ellie kept seeing more and more kids with flowers. "Mom, where is everyone getting flowers from?" she asks me kind of sadly. Luckily Daddy had one waiting for her.

Sorry you are sick!! I am glad Dustin is taking good care of you. And Ellie being the mom is too cute. I LOVE when kids dress themselves (or have sister help). Carter always gets his winter clothes out too. It cracks me up! I love your little letters that Ellie always gives you. Cute cute cute!!!

About you coming...we'll be having a party. I've already talked to Joni about it. It will be so fun to get everyone together when you're here!!! Get the sickness out of your system:)

I am so proud of you for your novel comment. I knew I could rub off my habits on you. :)

And about your bleach mishap. SCARY! Glad you aren't Michael Jackson style now! Surprisingly it killed my cold sickness. So I am up for scrubbing grout anytime I feel a cold coming on now!

Hope you are feeling better!!
Oh, and the reason to come to Tx: us! :) Isn't that good enough? jk!

I've only had Strep once as an adult and I can see how people in the "olden days" died from it! BRU-TAL! Hope those antibiotics kicked in and you're as good as new!
